DPC DATA, a leading provider of information to financial market professionals, announced today that the coverage of their OBCodes(sm) data feed service now exceeds 3 million CUSIPs and 70,000 unique municipal bond obligors.

"Crossing this critical coverage threshold means that our clients now have access to the most comprehensive and actively managed obligor database anywhere," says Michael Ruvo, Chief Information Officer of DPC DATA. "Since approximately 30% of municipal bonds continue to be issued by conduit issuers, such as economic development or healthcare finance authorities, it is often hard to figure out from available sources who the actual borrower is. OBCodes addresses this problem and is being embraced by many large buyside institutions as a preferred data source for evaluating risk concentrations in the municipal portfolios."

The proprietary data included in the OBCodes data feed are obligor name, obligor code, obligor state, and the corresponding CUSIP-9 numbers. In addition to the basic OBCodes data, DPC DATA also makes available to its clients other critical reference data including bond type, security type, lead and co-managing underwriters, bond counsel, and tax status. Only customers who are currently licensed by the CUSIP Service Bureau to receive and use the CUSIP data are eligible to receive OBCodes from DPC DATA.
