DPC DATA Provides Preliminary Official Statements to Customers
POS's Now Available for Immediate Download
12 May 2004
DPC DATA, the major provider of primary and secondary market disclosure documents for the municipal securities industry, announces the addition of preliminary official statement (POS) documents to its online document archive at www.DPCData.com.
The addition of POS documents to this site completes the menu of basic securities related documents that customers can obtain from the municipal bond market's largest and most complete online archive. This new category of documents will be added to the site as they are received and processed by the DPC DATA NRMSIR in real time throughout the day.
"POS documents are already available in many corners of the market on the web sites of printers, financial advisors, and other market participants," says Michael Ruvo, Chief Information Officer of DPC DATA. "What sets us apart from everyone else is that we are attempting to gather all POS's in one spot for the convenience of the market. If financial advisors and underwriters are not already sending their POS's to the DPC DATA NRMSIR, this is a good reason to start."
As with all other disclosure documents in the www.DPCData.com archive, anyone with access to the web can examine the collection free of charge. There is only a fee for downloading documents. The standard fee is $25.00 per document, unless the customer has a current prepaid subscription that provides for volume discounts.
"All other documents in our online archive are static in the sense that once they are added to the collection, they never leave. POS's, on the other hand, are transitory in nature and will be deleted as soon as the corresponding final official statements become available on our site," Ruvo said. "Since the collection of POS documents will be small - a few hundred at most - at any one time, we are presenting them to customers as a discrete collection that can be scrolled all at once," he added. "For the sake of convenience, customers can sort the listings in several different ways."
DPC DATA is a Nationally Recognized Municipal Securities Information Repository designated by the SEC. DPC DATA is a leader in information services to market professionals and a strategic partner of Standard & Poor's.
